Boyd helps Burnley top Stoke, halt winless stretch (The Associated Press)
Burnley surely sealed their safety in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Stoke City on Tuesday night at Turf Moor. The Clarets (10-5-16) struggled to get going in the first half, starting like a side who hadn't won since Jan 31, but broke through on George Boyd's goal in the 58th minute. The victory ended an 0-3-5 stretch over all competitions that dated to that triumph over Leicester City on the final day of January.
