Tottenham comes on late, tops Burnley 2-0 (The Associated Press)
Goals from Eric Dier and Son Heung-Min secured a 2-0 victory for Tottenham over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday. In what was a forgettable first half, there was only one real chance to speak of, and it was a gilt-edged one as Dele Alli blazed over from 10 yards after Tom Heaton could only parry Christian Eriksen's shot into the youngster's path. Burnley were the better team in the first period, but the second was a different story and Spurs had the goal they merited when poor marking from the hosts at a corner saw Eric Dier expertly volley home from the penalty spot.
