Chastain among 1st time candidates for US Soccer Hall (The Associated Press)

CHICAGO (AP) -- Brandi Chastain, who converted the penalty kick during a shootout that won the 1999 Women's World Cup, is among the first-time candidates for the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame.
