Arteta joins Manchester City coaching staff (The Associated Press)
Mikel Arteta says he is joining the coaching staff at Manchester City, making the announcement on the day Pep Guardiola will be presented as the club's new manager. Arteta said he is retiring as a player, leaving Arsenal - where he has played for five years and was captain - to begin his coaching career. Arteta began his career at Barcelona, when Guardiola was playing for the Spanish club's first team.
