Allardyce failed to learn from slip-ups by England managers (The Associated Press)

FILE - In this Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 file photo Sunderland's manager Sam Allardyce awaits the start of the English Premier League soccer match between Sunderland and Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland, England. England manager Sam Allardyce's comments during a newspaper sting will be examined by his employers at the Football Association, after he was filmed by Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper appearing to advise undercover reporters posing as businessmen on how to sidestep an outlawed player transfer practice. Being England manager was the proudest moment of Sam Allardyce's career. Within 24 hours of the report being published, the 61-year-old Allardyce was out of a job he held for only 67 days. A series of indiscreet but far less damaging comments were made by Hodgson, Allardyce's predecessor, to a passenger on the London Underground in 2012.
