Chris Drury hired as Rangers assistant general manager (Yahoo Sports)

The New York Rangers have hired former captain Chris Drury as their assistant general manager. General manager Jeff Gorton announced the promotion on Friday. In his expanded role, Drury will assist Gorton on all player transactions and contract negotiations, and he will continue to assist in overseeing and evaluating all players at the collegiate level.
