Harry Kane scored in successive Premier League games for the time in six months as Tottenham beat Sunderland 1-0 on Sunday to leave the north-east club with only one point from its first five matches. Although Kane was the league's top scorer in 2015-16, he faded toward the end of the campaign as Tottenham's title challenge faltered and made a sluggish start to the new season. After failing to score at the European Championship with England, the striker took until the fourth league game to get off the mark for Tottenham, netting once in last weekend's 4-0 rout of Stoke.
