Palace strike early, cruise past struggling Stoke City (The Associated Press)
Crystal Palace netted twice in the opening 11 minutes Sunday en route to a 4-1 thrashing of struggling Stoke City at Selhurst Park. The Eagles (2-1-2) entered play with a fair bit of momentum after last week's 2-1 win over newly-promoted Middlesbrough, while Stoke came into the match winless. The opening 11 minutes reflected both clubs' recent form well as Palace were lively and asserting their authority well while Stoke (0-1-4) were nervous and very shaky.
