Everton, Middlesbrough play to scoreless draw (The Associated Press)
Middlesbrough and Everton played out a scoreless draw at the Riverside Stadium in what was a rather dull affair Saturday in the North East. Everton (11-8-6) started off the better side, and should have taken the lead on 32 minutes as Romelu Lukaku raced through on goal but failed to stick the ball past Boro goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Young Everton forward Ademola Lookman also spurned two good opportunities for the visitors as he fired wide of the post before scuffing an effort from six yards.
