Gabbiadini nets brace as Southampton rout Sunderland (The Associated Press)

Manolo Gabbiadini netted a first-half brace Saturday to carry Southampton to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland (5-4-16) came into the match in good form following a 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace last week, but struggled to keep the ball and had no answer for Gabbiadini. The opening goal did not come without a bit of controversy as left-back Ryan Bertrand whipped a cross into the box.
