Redmond's brace help Southampton edge Watford in thriller (The Associated Press)
Southampton edged a seven-goal thriller Saturday afternoon as a brace from Nathan Redmond along with strikes from Manolo Gabbiadini and Dusan Tadic saw them beat Watford 4-3 at Vicarage Road. Troy Deeney, Stefano Okaka and Abdoulaye Doucoure notched goals for the hosts, but it wasn't enough. Watford (8-7-12) got off to the perfect start as Deeney curled home his 99th league goal on four minutes, but Tadic equalised for the Saints just before the half-hour mark, firing home after a lucky deflection set him up nicely.
